To mark her tenth anniversary as an independent designer, Anja Leidel has created sola, a sun calendar designed as a mailing. In keeping with the fundamental elements of her branding — design is the sun, the abstract tulip — it traces our central source of energy: How big is the sun? When is it close? How much light does the day capture? The two-sided, single-colour folded poster shines best when held up to the light at the window, casting shadows in red. A luminous companion throughout the year, read in a circle. Complemented by an equally loopable playlist called sun, a soundtrack for the morning, for flow, in dark times.
